As a long time resident of Blaine County, Steve Harkins is committed to making our community a safer place to live, work, and raise a family. With over 33 years of experience in law enforcement, including serving as a Patrol Officer
Detective, drug investigations and felony crimes, Chief of police in Ketchum, Chief Deputy, and now Sheriff; Steve has the skills, knowledge, and dedication needed to lead the Blaine County Sheriff's Office.
Steve Harkins is a graduate of the College of Southern Idaho Law Enforcement Program, is Post Certified and has received numerous awards and commendations during his career. He believes in working closely with community members to build trust, prevent crime, and solve problems. If elected as Blaine County Sheriff, Steve will continue to put his experience and dedication to work for the people of our county.
